Bulldogs News · Freshman Dawgs fall at Eufaula, 21-29

Tonight we drove down to Eufaula to catch a tiger by the tail and invaded Tigers Stadium at 5:30. Unfortunately for the Freshman Dawgs, the Tigers had claws. The Tigers offense pounced on our defense early and often in the first half. When the halftime whistle blew the Dawgs were down to the Tigers 6-29.

The 2nd half saw the Dawgs decide to get nasty and bow their necks. The Tigers were shut down by a stingy Dawgs defense in quarters 3 and 4 while the Dawgs offense sprang to life with a newfound passing attack. By the middle of the 4th quarter, the Dawgs had rallied to make the score 21-29 Eufaula. Our offense was stymied on the last drive of the game and Eufaula decided to just let the last 1 minute and 5 seconds roll off the clock without attempting any play other than the dreaded “victory” formation. Final Opelika 21-Eufaula 29

In a tale of two halves, the Dawgs came alive and showed what they are truly capable of and hopefully will keep that 2nd half mojo rolling into next Monday when we host the Central Freshman Academy Red Devils. We will kickoff at 5:30 right here in Bulldogs Stadium. See you then and there!

Go Dawgs!!!
